Future Initiatives
Good Works Theatre Inc. is committed to building a long‑term legacy of creativity, compassion, and community impact. As our company grows, we will develop a series of future initiatives designed to support caregivers, enrich long‑term care communities, and strengthen communication within healthcare settings. These programs reflect our long‑term vision and will be introduced in thoughtful phases as our organization expands.
Each initiative is rooted in the founder’s lived experience and guided by our belief in the transformative power of creativity, clarity, and human connection. While these programs are not yet active, they represent the direction of our company and the values that shape our work.

Caregiver Resources & Healthcare Communication Tools
Good Works Theatre Inc. is developing future resources to support caregivers and improve communication within healthcare environments. These initiatives will draw from the founder’s lived experience and the insights shared in her upcoming book on caregiving and healthcare communication.
Our long‑term vision includes:
-
practical communication tools for families and care teams
-
emotional support resources for caregivers
-
creative frameworks that strengthen understanding between residents, families, and healthcare staff
These resources will be designed to empower caregivers with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
Creative Enrichment for Nursing Facilities
We believe in the healing power of creativity. As part of our long‑term vision, we plan to introduce programs that bring artistic expression, storytelling, and creative engagement into nursing facilities. These initiatives will be designed to uplift residents, encourage connection, and honor the dignity of older adults through meaningful creative experiences.
The Valinda Legacy Art Contest
Inspired by the founder’s original oil painting, the Valinda Legacy Art Contest will invite residents of nursing facilities to create artwork inspired by themes of beauty, memory, and empowerment. Selected pieces may be showcased through our corporate platforms, celebrating the artistic voices of older adults and honoring their creative contributions.
This program reflects our belief that creativity is timeless — and that every resident has a story worth expressing.
Inspired and Empowered™ Caregiver Awards
As part of our commitment to recognizing excellence in caregiving, Good Works Theatre Inc. plans to establish an annual award program celebrating caregivers who demonstrate compassion, dedication, and exceptional service. These awards will highlight the essential role caregivers play in the lives of residents and families.
This initiative honors the spirit of our brand and the people who embody its values every day.
Creative Wellness Workshops
Future workshops will offer residents opportunities to participate in guided creative activities, including painting, storytelling, and reflective arts. These sessions will be designed to promote emotional well‑being, cognitive engagement, and a sense of community within long‑term care environments.
Workshops may be led by artists, volunteers, or creative partners who share our commitment to enriching the lives of older adults.
The Good Works Grant
As the company grows, we plan to introduce a small annual grant to support nursing facilities in enhancing their creative, sensory, or wellness programs. This initiative reflects our commitment to giving back and supporting environments where residents can thrive.
The Good Works Grant will help facilities bring meaningful, uplifting experiences to their communities.
